TLS error when trying to add flathub repo

i installed flatpak on Slackware64 15.0, and i get error:
error: Can’t load uri https://dl.flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo: Unacceptable TLS certificate

i never had this error on slackware, until i reinstalled slackware after accidentally breaking something

Please see if (re)installing

openssl

and/or

ca-certificates

helps in resolving the issue.
